Introducing; Black Cherry "Modern Lover"

Due for release on own label is ‘Modern Lover,’ the new single from Hackney dance-rockers Black Cherry.
Following very much in the same dance/electro footsteps as their preceding single One Another/Lost in the System, Black Cherry return with Modern Lover, another slice of infectious pop which is set for release on Black Cherry Records 5th December 2011
Modern Lover sees 80s-infused synth-melodies swagger from side to side, held in place by a bass and drums connection that’s tighter than a hipster’s jeans. Lead singer Megane Quashie rules the roost here though; her sensuous yet strong vocals immediately demanding the listener’s attention.
Black Cherry in the past year have gone from strength to strength. The band have previously performed at Glastonbury, RockNess and SXSW, toured the US and released a well-received EP and single, gaining many plaudits along the way.
not sure about this last bit, i think comparisons are not the best way to describe our music, plus we are not a indie band
with influences of Depeche Mode, Prince, Goldfrapp and lead singer’s Grace Jones like persona only looks set to solidify Black Cherry’s presence in the London electro scene. With the winter release of Modern Lover it’s safe to say Black Cherry are certainly ones to watch. The single is set for release on the 5th December.
