Axl Rose - Hero or Zero? Genius or liability?

By now, you will have undoubtedly heard about the stunt at Reading festival which has once again drawn attention to one of the world's biggest rock personalities. Why does he do it? Is he creating suspense and mystery around the band? or he is merely acting like a petulant child?

Axl has been pulling off this kind of drama for decades now and it's sufficed to say the music world has got pretty sick and tired of this. Lostprophets guitarist Mike lewis described the Guns N' Roses front man as a "joke" and "direspectful".

However there is no denying the Axl rose has helped create once of the most exciting destructive albeit contraversial bands of the last century.

At an age of 48 and still going strong, the guy is truely an amazing act to watch if one has ever seen him perform. The new Guns album has proved a sucess in many countries topping most charts - a statistic overlooked by many critics as many want him to fail, and so this is the case; since Axl Rose is not popular in the music industry and has recieved critism from big names saying he is one difficult person to work with.

Is Axl someone you would have invested in in the beginning knowing what trouble would have ensued many years later? I know what my answer is.
