American Singer/songwriter Jamie Bendell will release new EP, Blue Sky Days, on January 29th

Thursday, January 31st, 2013

New York-based singer/songwriter Jamie Bendell plans to release her fourth EP Blue Sky Days on January 29th. The five-track CD follows her last EP I’m Not Sorry Anymore and continues Jamie’s signature themes of soul-searching, self-realization, hope and love.

Growing up in Roslyn, NY in a musical family, Jamie began playing piano at 5 years old, wrote her first song at age 9, and learned guitar when she was 14. After earning her business administration degree from Emory University in 2009, Jamie packed up her car and drove 14 hours to the Big Apple to pursue her music career. Since then, Jamie has recorded four EPs: Waiting for Owls in 2009, Something More in 2010, I’m Not Sorry Anymore in 2011, and Blue Sky Days, which will be released on January 29th 2013.

A self-proclaimed “endearingly neurotic Colbie Caillat”, Jamie admits she pours a lot of her emotions into her lyrics. “Anxiety does play a hand in inspiring my lyrics,” says Jamie. “I over-think things constantly and a lot of my inspiration comes from situations in which I feel confused or that someone took advantage of me or acted out of line.”

Jamie also writes about the things that drive her mad: love, life, self-doubt and the many other things that weigh her heart down, with a voice that alternates between a breathy timber and a belting soprano.

Jamie has toured the US and Canada extensively, including Toronto, New York City, Boston, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, San Diego, Atlanta and Nashville. Her next show will be at Webster Hall in New York City, opening for Jon Sandler at 8PM on Wednesday, January 16th. MarilynMusic Continues To Forge It’s Place In The New Music Industry

Tuesday, January 29th, 2013

In New York City, MarilynMusic’s Casey Conrad has been busy with several projects over the last few months, including the long awaited album project from artist Joanne Perica, soon to be released. Perica, an established artist, writer and former member of pop group Harlow, has crafted 12 compelling and timeless songs sure to create an industry buzz. “Joanne will draw a whole new fan base since the release of her last album, as this production is intended to present her in a more organic way without compromising the artist’s proven pop accessibility,” Conrad explained.

Continued collaboration with Sony artist Sera Burus has yielded
new material as she works to complete her album helmed by CEO Doug Morris and A&R chief L.A. Reid.

Conrad is also mixing several albums for Gary Haase’s Headman Productions. Recording artists include world renowned drummer Buddy Williams, Broadway phenomenon Lillias White, as well as a series of albums for Glenn Roven’s label GPR.

Other new projects include a production for young artist OneLove out of NYC, as well as several new MarilynMusic written and produced songs, including soon to be released ‘Magic Star’ featuring artist One Love.

Upgrades to MarilynMusic’s studios include new super fast computers and massive amounts of the newest sounds, putting NYC’s ‘The Vertical Room’ and it’s LA counterpart ‘Mike’s Space’ on par with the most cutting edge studios available.

In Los Angeles, Michael Gaines (Conrad’s co-writer and partner in MarilynMusic) is currently enhancing their holiday music catalogue, adding more holiday genre tunes in collaboration with songwriters like Lenna Bauerly and Eric Palmquist. Also on behalf of MarilynMusic, Gaines is in discussions with TV and film director Bobby Garabedian to provide songs and score for two pilots that have already been shot.

Constantly writing and producing great new music, Gaines and Conrad’s MarilynMusic seamlessly bridges the distance between NYC and LA thanks to state of the art digital studios and a solid present time work ethic.
