Tuesday, October 9th, 2012

SoundCloud Link

With a successful promotional campaign Bomber has been creating the right kind of attention, and literally has exploded. With his own style that consists of infectious pop melody and awesome hip-hop beats. Adrian Sykes at EMI had to comment, “He has success written all over him!” He has been featured on the online publication NewQuod and has started turning heads already. Announced today is Bomber’s debut single Amazing, the track will be released on the 28th October.

Bomber started his journey with the release of ‘On My Way,’ which features the producer on vocals and has brought Bomber a good amount of new fans. The new track Amazing is set to be the song of the dance floors with a catchy beat, a brilliant dance floor smash to chase away the winter blues. The beat was produced by Tyler Smith of Tyler Smith Productions and features a 90s style piano mixed with an upbeat synth.

Bomber has always had a flare for music from such a young age. He grew up in North London with his Jamaican mother and his older siblings. Music was always playing and smooth reggae beats were definitely the catch of the day. At a young age when Bomber aka Kirk Edwards first got into MCing he used to attend MC battles and was even featured on ‘Heat FM.’

Bomber has been signed but the label he was signed to went into liquidation leaving him unsigned, but now he has a new management and a great team behind him to bring his music to the UK’s ears, this has been dubbed his year. Already he has performed with the likes of Chipmunk another British rapper and also completed a University Tour which spread like wild fire. To date though Bomber also managed to bag himself a space at this year’s Surface Festival and scored the most points EVER in their competition.

With his first debut single planned to be released on the 28th October, it’s time to give him the spotlight and watch him shine as Amazing hits the dancefloors…

MusicDishTV Presents “Top 5″ By MC Kublakai

Thursday, August 2nd, 2012

Northwest born MC Kublakai’s video and track, “Top 5,” is a semi-chronicle of the young rapper’s journey into the world of hip hop. It’s a really cool, honest, and refreshing look into Kublakai’s life and his discovery of the big names in the game of rap. “Top 5″ is a tribute to hip hop and the artists who helped shape the genre and change the industry and culture that, like Rock and Roll, is now a huge part of the American way of life. Big props for this history lesson set to a deep beat. Kublakai flows effortlessly as he weaves a story of his own life and how it was impacted by hip hop, leading to much respect for it. He mentions and shows a lot of the greats from back in the day who made all of us wake up to rap and hip hop. The video is smooth and entertaining, and though it is most the young talent as he spits, there are other well placed visuals. Kublakai has a great sound, and one that is actually distinctive, which is both a rarity and a treat. And there’s just something about him that makes you want to like him, which is probably the fact that he comes off as being very genuine. The video, which is professionally shot and produced, is very strong and accomplishes its goal of showing the great love that exists for the music and the connection hip hop music has to the past. This is an excellent video, and a very good performance from an artist that this reviewer would like to see and hear a lot more from.

Bizarre Or What? Gay Rapper Threatens To Sue Fans If They Refuse To Download Upcoming Mixtape

Friday, July 20th, 2012

In an extremely bizarre audio clip preview of his upcoming mixtape, “Zero Percent P—y”, controversial East Coast gay rapper Cocky da Homo MC, no stranger to hip hop headlines, took up almost 10 minutes of the mp3 in a manic diatribe, ranting almost hysterically against his haters, a former manager from Florida who “works for PETA yet eats hamburgers,” and also his fans, going as far as to threaten to actually sue them if they do not download the upcoming street album. The preview, released earlier today at Retwedia.com, shot up almost immediately to the top most streamed music clips of the day.

Perhaps even more shocking in the preview is the inclusion of a song that may just be the very first “pro-snitching” hip hop anthem ever with lyrics such as, “I ain’t afraid to snitch, Cocky will (m’f'ing) tell,” and “I will call the police, stoop that low dog I will.”

The rapper has released the following statement: “I sincerely apologize for the rant, it was ridiculous and everything I said has no basis in reality or fact. Don’t sue me.”

“Zero Percent P—-y” is slated to be released in two weeks, with appearances from Skyy Blue and Josef Eugene.

MusicDishTV Presents “Trim Pounds” By Mr. Garth-culti-Vader

Monday, July 16th, 2012

West coast rapper Mr. Garth-culti-Vader’s video “Trim Pounds” starts off with Kanye West’s song Gold Digger being played, and a young white man smoking while he cleans what looks like a club. He goes over to the turntable, then starts the music over, and while it is still Kanye’s music, Mr. Garth-culti-Vader has put his own rhymes to it, telling about the marijuana lifestyle in California. The video alternates from that point between showing him rapping on stage and in the bathroom cleaning. A second janitor appears and immediately begins dancing. Overall, the spits are pretty good and of course, you can’t go wrong with the music. The video ends with the owner walking in on Mr. Garth-culti-Vader standing there holding his mop, and admonishing him for doing so, stating “What are you doing? We’ve got a club to open.” Oh well, guess it was all just a daydream, but at least it was a nice one.

Jamaican reggae artist Erup’s video “Feel So” features Erup spitting rhymes with authentic Jamaican style and swagger. The video alternates between scenes of Erup rapping alone and him with a pretty young lady who is the object of his affection. This song is about love as Erup tells you that it “Feel So” good and indeed it does, especially the way this young talent lays it down. Viewers are in for a treat as we watch while he tries to win her love. Erup has a smooth delivery and cool style, establishing himself as not just a rapper, but also one who sings a bit as well. His strong masculine voice will be pleasing to many, especially the ladies, and when you throw that sexy Jamaican accent in, girls - we just don’t stand a chance! The music is fresh and interesting with an overlapping of mixes that have different beats and instruments that, combined with Erup’s vocal style, produce a solid sound. This is a video and song that viewers and listeners will definitely enjoy as the reggae beat blasts out the heat and yes, it is definitely sizzling hot!

Hip Hop + Electronica + Indie Rock = Record Producer JDVisionquest3000

Friday, June 29th, 2012

Los Angeles based record producer Joe Dancsak, a.k.a. JDVisionquest3000 has been making his mark in hip hop and electronic music lately, both on the west coast and in the Midwest.

By releasing a string of singles by Ohio rapper Nate Sylak through www.jdvisionquest3000.com, and using free social media sites such as Reverbnation, Dancsak has begun making a name for himself. Dancsak is currently ranked high in the Reverbnation Electronica charts for L.A. coming in at #44, and building an audience numbering over 100,000 in the process.

Dancsak has released 3 singles by Sylak, “Janie’s Song”, “One By One”, and “Superhigh”, all available at his website and Sylak‘s social media sites. Dancsak uses elements of electronica and indie rock music in his hip hop productions, lending a unique style to his sound.

The singles follow closely an appearance by Sylak, who is signed to Dancsak’s soon to be launched 3000 Music, on the Dr. Dre tribute album “The Chronic: A Millennium Tribute to the Songs of Dr. Dre”. Dan Hyman of the L.A. Weekly blog sited Sylak as the “…lone hero of the album…. This Sylak dude kills it, and he’s definitely worth a listen.” Hyman also wrote, “This Nate Sylak dude is easily the breakout artist of the album.” The album was subsequently streamed off Dre’s Aftermath website, affording Sylak wide exposure.

In addition, Dancsak was quoted in Buzzbin Magazine’s feature on Sylak, “Nate Sylak Makes His Own Noise,” a story about Sylak’s increasing popularity in the Ohio region and the state of the music industry. Dancsak is quoted as Sylak’s producer and as an informative source in the music trade. Journalist Chris Wig writes “…His L.A. based producer, Dancsak, believes that this latest development in Sylak’s career is indicative of larger structural changes within the music industry. While the producer of an emerging artist can provide beats, production, and guidance, the artist provides the hard work..” In that regard, Nate doesn’t stop,” Dancsak said. “The gun slinging aspect of rap has turned into how much product can an artist put out and keep the quality level high while they do it….”
