MusicDishTV Presents \’Showroom Ready\’ By Millenium

You should dress for the job you want, not for the job you already have: If there’s one outfit living this old business maxim to the max, it’s Millennium. The Los Angeles-based group are making a big stride into the big time with the video for their first single, ‘Showroom Ready’.

“Showroom Ready is about the immaculate lifestyle. It’s how you choose to roll,” says Millennium rapper Young Fit. True to his word, the band have produced a promo clip which bathes you in the dream-like sheen of silk, marble and crystal chandeliers - in short, the good life. Forget excess - forget face tattoos, gaudy grills, celebrity meltdowns and rehab. Millennium’s vision is something more refined, purer - how to enjoy life. They say living well is the best revenge, and yet Millennium are nobody’s foe. And in spite of the philandering, jet-setting and easy living celebrated by their promo video, they still end up, in its final minute, on stage as a band, performing to a flock of fans who are just waving their hands in the air and having fun. As vocalist K-King says, “Showroom Ready is one of those songs that just reaches out and slaps you in the face. It’s entertaining, it’s fun, it’s pure Millennium.”

Musically speaking, Millennium are also more down-to-earth than the competition. Rapper Young Fit, singer K-King and singer/composer Stryker are backed up by a live band: Monte McConnell (drums), Jiro Tanaka (bass) and Jasun Edelman (guitar/keys). Not for them the vacuum-packed sound of commercial R&B. The broad range of the individual band members’ musical interests come into play in their collective songwriting; Jiro’s skillful funk bassline is only the highlight of a fresh and tight musical package. And, bear in mind, ‘Showroom Ready’, is just the tip of a musical iceberg. Millennium’s debut album, Game Changer, is set for release on May 1.

Dream Chemistry’s Eclectic Second Album Debuts December 2nd

Thursday, December 1st, 2011

Phoenix, Arizona - With the December 2nd release of Dream Chemistry’s second studio album, Images of White, the band further refines the blend of progressive folk rock and jazzy gospel that helped its self-titled debut album garner an international following.

New to Dream Chemistry’s line-up is singer Dellynn, whose luminous vocals are a powerful accompaniment to the band’s spiritual and often Celtic vibe. Dellynn joins Jimmy Caterine, the former guitarist of Sacred Rite (Capitol Records), and bassist Neal Harris. With violinist Michael Mulryan and percussionist Tito Valentin rounding out the quintet, Dream Chemistry’s organic fusion of musical genres stands as a soothing anecdote to a hectic world.

Images of White is punctuated with an instrumental precision that is the hallmark of Dream Chemistry’s sound. From the blue-grass flavored “Ride Me a River” to the instrumental “Three Legged Horse,” the album’s 11 tracks create a “hypnotic and soothing statement,” according to Caterine.

The Wind, the first video from the new CD was released on September 25th. Public reception of the video, which can be viewed at Reverbnation.com and on YouTube, has exceeded Dream Chemistry’s expectations. “We’ve been overwhelmed by the amount of traction the video has received,” Harris said. “It’s a great feeling when so many people enjoy your work.”

Caterine and Harris founded Dream Chemistry in 2007 with the hopes of raising funds for various charitable causes. Though both musicians spent their formative years on the metal circuit, they approached Dream Chemistry as an opportunity to express a more nuanced sound, one that reflected their growth both musically and spiritually.

Images of White represents the next step in the evolution of that sound, according to Caterine. He believes the new album is a “rebirth of the band, not only in terms of musicianship but direction.”

Dream Chemistry -Images of White will be available at DreamChemistry.com, Amazon.com, CDbaby.com, iTunes and most other places where independent music is sold.

Nomy: The Record Label’s Worst Nightmare

Tuesday, March 23rd, 2010

Website: http://www.nomy.nu
Music: http://www.nomy.nu/Nomy - World in fire.mp3

Nomy is the name of the Swedish artist who has singlehandedly taken his music from a little bedroom in Jönköping to the world stage via the Internet. His hit song “Cocaine” spread like wildfire and today is downloaded and streamed in Scandinavia, Europe and large parts of USA and Canada.

- Like most artists, I wanted others to bond with my music. But I wanted to do it my own way and in my own pace. I discovered early on how music had the opportunity to grow on the internet and vice versa. With my modest home recording set up worth 15,000SEK ($2200) I create everything by myself. When Guitar, drums, bass, vocals and song are fed into my computer it becomes my music, my sound, shaped in my way, says Nomy.

Over 8 million plays on Spotify

Nomy was quickly placed on top lists, both small and more established. For example, the song “cocaine” played almost 2 million times on YouTube and he dominated the chart on www.allears.se with 10 different songs. Most notable to date is the placing of “Song or Suicide” as the 50th most played album on Spotify, where since July 2009 has long with all his other songs collected over 8 million plays, with 2 million of these in January alone.

- The major breakthrough was the combination of social media, such as my own website, YouTube, Facebook, MySpace as well as the digital distribution service Record Union who continue to make sure my music is available on all of the world’s major music services. My drive was to give the fans what they wanted, without conditions, continues Nomy.

- The song “Cocaine” for which I feel and still do feel an overwhelming pride, was the first song I sent up to the various music websites. The amount of downloads gradually increased and the fans began to gather at my official website www.nomy.nu. There I collected all my work for visitors to download - for free of course, explains Nomy.
